Building Surveys & Energy Audits
Climate Control Systems & Service can help you find energy savings today.
Energy Audits
Building Audits have different levels of involvement, but all start with a building survey. They also identifying energy saving potentials. A lower level audit would identify inefficient equipment and inefficient operations. A high-level audit would incorporate energy modeling and preliminary equipment selections to identify energy savings.
Building Survey
A building survey is the process of reviewing a building’s HVAC and plumbing systems for condition, required maintenance, remaining service life and potential issues or pitfalls of operation. Climate Control Systems and Service can work closely with a building owner or maintenance team to assess maintenance and replacement priority of an existing building’s HVAC and Plumbing Systems.
Building Load Calculations
Building Load Calculations are the starting point for HVAC design and can be broken into two categories. Design Calculation and Simulation. All buildings undergo a design calculation, in this process the building occupancy, geometry, orientation, location and internal loads are entered into software to determine equipment sizing for coldest winter condition and the hottest summer condition for a specific climate zone.
Depending on the Client’s needs, a simulation may be required to compare different systems and energy consumption. Simulations add to the complexity of the design calculation by accounting for occupant diversity, equipment control strategies, energy consumption etc. Simulation allows the designer to communicate energy saved and lost between different types of equipment.
